Use Cases

Built for creators.

Whatever you create with AI, you deserve proof of ownership. Here's how different professionals use the registry.

Prompt Engineers

Protect your carefully crafted prompts. Prove authorship of workflows that took hours to perfect. License them to teams or clients with cryptographic certainty.

Regulation Ready

AI regulation is coming.
Be ready without the headache.

Starting in 2026, the EU AI Act will require businesses and professional creators to disclose and prove the origin of AI-generated content.

Watermarks get stripped. Metadata gets lost. Platforms change their rules. Our protocol gives you something stronger: a cryptographically signed, independently verifiable record of what you made, when you made it, and how much of it was human.

Recognized by regulators as a valid transparency technique

Portable proof that travels with your work outside any single platform

Independent infrastructure — no company can change the rules or disappear

This certificate is permanently stored on Nostr and can be verified independently.

How it works

Three steps. No blockchain fees. No complexity.

01

Upload

Upload your asset to a Blossom server. Blossom fingerprints the file with its SHA-256 hash. The hash becomes its permanent, universal address.

02

Sign

Sign a registry event on Nostr. This declares what the asset is, who created it, and when. Ownership is cryptographic and portable.

03

Timestamp

Anchor the event hash into the Bitcoin blockchain with OpenTimestamps. This gives you a tamper-proof certificate of existence.

Questions? Answered.

Everything you need to know about the AI Asset Registry.

Is this blockchain?
Not in the traditional sense. We use OpenTimestamps to anchor proof hashes to the Bitcoin blockchain for timestamp verification, but there are no tokens, no gas fees, and no smart contracts. The registry itself runs on Nostr, a decentralized protocol that works more like email or RSS than a blockchain.
Who can see my assets?
You choose. By default, your registry entry is public—showing that an asset exists and who created it. But you can also encrypt the metadata using NIP-44, so only you (or people you authorize) can read the details. Either way, the proof of ownership remains verifiable.
What does it cost?
Nothing for basic registration. The protocol is open and permissionless. Optional paid services (like premium Blossom hosting for large files) may exist, but the core registry and timestamping are free.
How is this different from NFTs?
NFTs are tokens on a blockchain that represent ownership—often of digital art. But they're complex, expensive, and speculative. Our protocol is simpler: we create a cryptographic certificate that proves you created something at a specific time. No tokens, no trading, just portable proof.
Can I transfer or sell my registered assets?
Yes. Because your ownership is cryptographically signed and portable, you can grant, license, or transfer rights directly to another person or platform. Think of it like a land registry: the registry records who owns the land; the owner decides who gets the keys.
What happens if the service goes down?
The protocol keeps working. Your registry entries live on Nostr, a decentralized network with thousands of independent relays. Your assets can be stored on any Blossom-compatible server. Even if this specific service disappeared, your proofs would remain valid and verifiable.
